GTM Account Creation and Tag set up
Creating a new account and getting it installed on your site does require some technical knowledge. This is often done alongside a GA4 setup. It can be quite easy to install wrong but look right resulting in misleading data.
Create new accoonts, install the Tag Container to the required site and create a set of Tags and Triggers that cover the basic functions of the website.
Ensure tags respect the user’s tracking preferences to stay compliant with necessary legislation.
Documentation describing naming conventions, definitions, and what each Tag does and how.
GTM Account Audit
Knowing what is being tracked and how it is being reported can be a time consuming and confusing task. A full Tag audit puts you back in control of your analytics.
An executive summary written for a non-technical audience in plain english.
Documentation that describes your current setup. Detailing all the users on an account and their status, and the coverage of the Tag Container - how many pages of a site it is found on.
A full list of tags, triggers and variables and their relation to each other, as well as how the data then looks in GA4. This is the starting point for any work moving forwards
Add functionality to existing setups
Some types of tracking are simple to set up. Others, like certain forms or ecommerce data require an expert to confidently rely on the results. One badly defined trigger could result in hundreds in excess Ad expenditure.
Fully scoped and documented requirements. This type of work only works when the outcomes are clear and benefit the user and the business.
Documentation describing what has been added, the naming conventions, and how the data appears.
Full testing to ensure additional work doesn’t interfere with the existing environment.
